ON THEIR TRACKING MECHANISM — ASI's response to RTI
"Sub Circle incharge regularly monitor and keep a strict vigil to check on such incidents."
What this reveals

ASI manages 174 protected monuments in Delhi alone — and hundreds more nationwide — with no formal public reporting tool and no public incident register. With only 1 damage incident formally recorded across two full financial years, most damage goes unnoticed until routine inspections catch it, by which point it may be too late.

This is the gap Heritage Atlas Delhi is trying to fill — through citizen documentation, community reporting, and public accountability.
